DANCE COMPANIES:
SULTANA DANCE ENSEMBLE: 2009 and 2010 Florida State Bellydance Ensemble Champions. This award winning dance company was founded in 2008 by Artisitic Director and Choreographer, Dawn Gunduz. They are professional dancers who perform Turkish, Greek, Egyptian, and Arabic dances for the stage. They are the featured performers at all Imperial Bellydance Events and perform all over South Florida at cultural, community, and holiday festivals. In 2010, they performed in over 50 shows!
TURQUOISE DANCE COMPANY was founded in 2010 by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Dawn Gunduz. They are advanced dancers who specialize in Turkish and Arabic performances for the stage. They perform in the annual Theatrical Spring Concert and three studio parties throughout the year. Optional floor work in this company
GYPSY FIRE was founded in 2010 by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Dawn Gunduz. They are intermediate and advanced dancers who specialize in Turkish and Greek bellydance performances for the stage. They perform in the annual Theatrical Spring Concert and three studio parties throughout the year.
ORIENTAL DREAMS is the newest company now forming for intermediate and advanced dancers. This group will debut in March 2011 under the direction of Artistic Director and Choreographer, Dawn Gunduz. They will specialize in Egyptian Classical, Shaabi, and Pop Belady performances for the stage. They will perform in the annual Theatrical Spring Concert and three studio parties thoughout the year. No floor work in this company

We are always asked about tipping. Is it appropriate and what is the proper etiquette for tipping? One story is that this tradition was began by poor peasant girls to raise money for their dowries. Another is that the Turkish and Greek dancers brought the tradition of tipping to NYC in the 1950s because they were afraid the restaurant owners would not pay them to perform. Today, applause and compliments are the best way to show the dancer that you enjoyed her performance. But if you would like to tip the dancer, handing her a tip after her performance is completed is the proper etiquette
